I heard an old Jewish saying once that went something like "I woke up this morning, everything else is gravy". I love that saying. Some people that I've told it to think it's dire, or lowest common denominator. I think it's a way of saying, "Thank you God for this day. I won't waste it, I'll work hard, I'll get better at one thing today." I think everyone would feel better about their place in life if they thought like that.
I'm just sayin'.
